Hi guys, what's going on in your little corner of the world?

So i've been absent for a bit trying to get a hang of autodesk software and brainstorming and mindmapping and stuff. Yes, I have been slacking off a bit what with Easter, James Blake's album and the vlogbrothers (stay awesome guys). Also, my genEd class has provoked quite a bit of swearing and hairpulling due to an incomprehensible literary masterpiece we are to apply to an essay. One of my favourite sentences included my new favourite word: Confabulation. Look it up yourself.

I've noticed (not recently) that people upload images of themselves with writing somewhere in the pic (books/posters etc) and have yet to understand the mechanics of obtaining this pic and positioning it right. Its pretty simple. You just flip the canvas. And something I managed to do myself in taking these lame pics of my kickass sketching...Ta Da:

I really hope you weren't expecting much more than that. Alongside these intermittent scribbles I have been jumping on the MAYA bandwagon and doing some tutorials in order to fully understand the benefits of animation and 3D illustration of ideas.

ALL THE TESTING!

So some complex, most not so much. They aren't rendered. That would defeat the purpose of 3D model sketching but there are moving things and explosions and cracking surfaces and nCloth models and its all just a bunch of information I have yet to understand. So I think Im going to attempt the read the manual instead of adapting techniques from other softwares and youtube. Along side this, I need to read up on Smoke as well, but that shall come a bit further down the line, with cider and indian food and a friends' house. 

Things I would like to add:

I really freaking appreciate newbies getting online and sharing videos of their projects, more so how they did it, because they have a completely different mindset to the trained guys (not that I dont dive into their channels)! 

Another thing..Do you have a personal philosophy? Not just a design philosophy, but one encompassing your actions and thought process etc? Hmm. 

LAST AND MOST IMPORTANT!

Ive been for the last few days (who am I kidding, the last week) have been under the impression - an impression my subconscious has seized like the last beer in the fridge - that it has been the following week. Yeah im just that clever. SO whoever I have organised things with or have contacted or thought I have missed events - I apologise for my less-than-on-the-ball mind. It very rarely happens.
